Project
El Sifó
Concept, design and opening of a modern tapas restaurant in the heart of Barcelona.
The idea was to create a relaxed neighbourhood spot where people could drop in for a glass of natural wine, a good coffee or a few small dishes to share. A kind of bistronomy, informal but with real attention to the food, the design and the details.
The interior combines polished concrete floors, blue-jointed tiles and custom-designed terrazzo tables, giving the space a simple, contemporary feel without making it too polished.
I was involved in the whole project, from the kitchen and bar technical design to choosing the artisans, supervising the works and taking care of the final details, right down to the tableware and menus.
The result was a casual, characterful place that became a local favourite and received coverage in the Spanish food press.
