Project
Casa Gran Via
Renovation of a 200 m² apartment dating from 1876, in the heart of Barcelona, featured on the French TV programme La Maison France 5.
Located in a beautiful 19th-century building on Gran Via, the apartment had so much character to work with. The idea was to bring it back to life while making it work for modern living.
Space planning was a big part of the project. We restored the original doors and hydraulic cement tiles, typical of Barcelona’s Eixample district, and designed bespoke wardrobes to sit naturally alongside the original features.
The apartment also has a beautiful iron-and-glass gallery overlooking the traditional Eixample interior courtyard, a fireplace and a bathroom with a bathtub right in the middle of the bedroom.
I wanted to keep the details that make these old Barcelona apartments so special, while creating a home that feels comfortable, personal and easy to live in.
